    Windows 7 and Office 2010 TS Exam: Beta Coming Soon!

    Microsoft will be opening registration for the following beta exam soon:

    • 70-681    TS: Windows® 7 and Office 2010, Deploying

    As with every beta exam, seats are limited. Microsoft will be using our MSL SME database to recruit for the first round of beta participants. For your best chance of participating, create a SME profile by filling out the survey on the MSL SME site on Microsoft Connect. (See this post for more information.) If you have already created your SME profile, make sure that you update it to reflect your interest in taking a beta exam and your experience with Windows 7 and Office 2010.

    A few days before registration opens, we’ll send a notification to qualified SMEs through Connect. The notification will include the beta code. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail mslcd@microsoft.com.

    Now available! Exam-70-512: TS: Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010, Administration

    Exam 70-512 is now available in Prometric testing centers. This is a Technical Specialist exam designed to test the candidate’s knowledge and skills on installing, configuring, and maintaining Visual Studio 2010 Team Foundation Server. Candidates typically work in an enterprise development organization that provides process automation services by using TFS.

    This exam covers the following topics:

    • Installing and configuring TFS
    • Managing TFS
    • Customizing TFS for team use
    • Administering version control

    Exam 70-177 is now available in Prometric testing centers. This is a Technical Specialist exam designed to assess candidates’ hands-on skills using and configuring Microsoft Project Server 2010.

    Candidates for this exam:

    • are experienced in implementing and supporting the Microsoft Project Server 2010 solution and also have experience with Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 and familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 technology.
    • are responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of a Project Server 2010 implementation.
    • typically work as an Enterprise Project Management (EPM) consultant, a project server administrator, an IT professional, or a developer.

It describes how you can create and deploy SharePoint 2010 solutions using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. It also describes how you can develop remote clients for SharePoint 2010 and develop SharePoint 2010 solutions that incorporate data from external line-of-business applications.

    This clinic covers the following topics:

    • Developing SharePoint 2010 Solutions with Visual Studio 2010
    • Integrating New Development Features in SharePoint 2010 Solutions
    • Developing Remote Clients for SharePoint 2010
    • Incorporating External Data in SharePoint 2010 Solutions

    Developers completing this clinic have at least12 months of experience developing solutions with ASP.NET. They should also have 6 months of experience developing solutions for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
