Installing Windows 7 Using A USB Stick – Video Shows How

Posted by Rubel Khan on August 5, 2009

image With Windows 7 reaching the RTM milestone, interest in the already popular next generation operating system continues to increase.  One area that people are looking at is, the installation of Windows 7 on the various types of machines they have.  For awhile now, it has been noted that Windows 7 will run on Netbooks; however, as some very observant people have noted, Netbooks do not normally come with a DVD Drive.  This leaves the question of, how do you install Windows 7 on a machine with no DVD drive?

To help answer that question, we have a video posted up on TechNet that actually walks through how to install Windows 7 using a USB stick.  It’s a quick 7 minute video (yes, quite the irony that the Windows 7 installation video lasts 7 minutes) that shows you how to prepare a USB drive with the installation bits and install off it.

Also, don’t forget about the additional resources, training, etc. that we have available right now in Windows 7 for you to utilize: WINDOWS 7 RESOURCES.
